After a sales market slowdown that predated the pandemic, stretching all the way back to 2018, the New York City sales market is showing signs of a comeback. The Neighborhood Scout Price Index demonstrates this NYC real estate rebound, rising quarter-over-quarter in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
At the close of Quarter 2, the median home sale price in New York City was $773K, up 14% year-over-year. A total of 11303 properties traded, representing a 129% year-over-year increase. The median price per square foot in Quarter 2 was $910, an 11% YoY change. The median home sale price in Manhattan was $1.1M.
